Here for Mamas is a Movement

Therapy Plus Foundation has launched and is currently in Phase 1 of our flagship initiative, the Here for Mamas Perinatal Mental Health Support and Learning Collaborative—a community-rooted program designed to reduce maternal and infant health disparities by meeting the complex needs of Black mothers, other underserved groups, and their families in Mississippi, while strengthening the providers and systems that support them.

Grounded in the belief that when a mama’s needs are fully supported during pregnancy and postpartum, the entire family thrives, the Collaborative weaves together trauma-informed perinatal mental health screening, therapeutic supports, culturally responsive care, and direct connections to essential resources such as housing, food, transportation, and childcare. In parallel, we provide structured provider education and training to improve early identification, referral pathways, follow-up, and coordinated care for perinatal mental health conditions and substance use disorders.

Through strategic partnerships with community clinics, local public health agencies, and trusted maternal health organizations—and by centering the voices of mothers and families—Here for Mamas strengthens a seamless, compassionate system of care where wellness is not an afterthought, but the foundation of family and community strength.

We are committed to turning data into action and lived experience into leadership. With your support, we can expand this model, deepen local capacity, and ensure that every mama and every family has the resources, respect, and care they deserve.

Connection. Compassion. Community.
